If your terminal is connected and configured properly you should get a prompt similar to: “WebMon>” after the power up sequence is complete (or any time you hit the “Enter” key).(For more information on terminal software setup and usage see the Dante! SSG document “ASCII Terminals”.) The communication settings are: 9600 baud, 8 data bits, l stop bit, No Parity, and No Flow Control. The WebMon will do a reset and come up in about 30 seconds using the new IP data. Hit “Y” and then hit “Enter” to confirm that you do wish to perform a soft reset. Once the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway address have been entered, you MUST do a “Soft Reset”.This should prompt you to enter your optional IP Gateway address that you want to WebMon to use for access outside the local network from now on. Type “Set Gateway Address” and hit “Enter”.You should have some familiarity with HyperTerminal and you will need to know what COM port to use on your PC.The most common method of setting the IP address information is to connect a PC running HyperTerminal, ProComm, Attachment, (or other terminal software) to the DB-9 connector (RS-232) on the CPU card.(If you need help determining what IP data to set please consult with you IT professional.)
